This course is designed for photographers looking to move beyond the automatic settings and begin to take full creative control of their camera. Whether you are a total beginner who just unboxed a new DSLR, mirrorless camera, or even a smart phone.  This class will provide you the basics of “what you need to know” as a foundation for capturing stunning images.  This class will introduce you to the technical skills to transform your photos from simple snapshots to professional-looking images.
 
What You Will Learn:

• Camera Essentials: Understand basic camera operations, different types of equipment (DSLR, mirrorless, etc.), and which lenses are best for various situations.
• The Exposure Triangle: Master the relationship between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to achieve proper exposure in any lighting condition.
• Creative Control: Learn how aperture affects depth of field, creating blurry backgrounds, etc.  How shutter speed captures or freezes motion, and how ISO manages low light and image noise. How does the emerging AI technologies effect imaging.
• Composition & Lighting: Explore essential composition techniques like the rule of thirds, leading lines, and symmetry to create visually compelling and balanced photos. Understand how to work with different light sources to improve your images. 
• Focus & White Balance: Achieve sharp, clear images every time by mastering focus controls and ensure accurate colors by using white balance settings.
• Image Workflow Basics: Learn the difference between JPEG, TIFF and RAW file formats and what editing software might best for you.
