Use a variety of media including ink, gouache and collage to create small abstract studies finding unique abstractions through the process. You will use the small studies as the basis for creating a larger abstract acrylic painting on canvas that has inventive shapes, rhythmic movement, and harmonious color. Learn about color mixing and a variety of painting techniques along the way. Leave this workshop with a collection of small experimental studies, a 16x20" painting, and an adaptable process.
